Lugarshz grew up in a suburb of the capital of his native land: a country whose name you can not pronounce. He started playing the fiddle at the age of four and continued to learn countless new instruments as he grew older, including accordion, kaval, zurna, doumbek, ud, and more. Lugarshz both plays the traditional music of the "Nearer" East and writes new compositions that retain the authentic Balkan style but have a touch of Lugarshz's own harlequin eccentricity. He performs solo, and also founded the only Balkan youth ensemble (that he knows of) in the United States: "Grupa Pubeski". Lugarshz has appeared on American national television, several Turkish television programs, and in Turkey's "Zaman" newspaper . In addition to playing music, Lugarshz can also be found in the circus ring. He has developed and performed several acts for The Bindlestiff Family Cirkus. Lugarshz leads a workshop entitled: "The Kazoo Liberation Okestar," a massive kazoo orchestra playing Balkan-Brass music. In his spare time, Lugarshz enjoys hanging upside-down. -See Lugarshz's myspace page.
